We should have turned the whole place into one giant radioactive sheet of glass. But that's not very PC now, is it?

They use tactics that could be overcome by using prepared and well armed Iraqi and US Military Policemen. Special Forces do not have the training of law enforcement. This is similar to what the Viet Cong did the in the Vietnam conflict. The US stupidly let all of the experience of fighting irregulars dissipate. In other words the US decided to prepare for organized warfare

We kicked their a s s in the war when they tried to fight us up front. Now they are smart. They will hide and skulk and sneak about and blow us up with ieds and suicide bombers and nibble away at us until the defeatocraps get into high office and use it all as an excuse to cut and run and throw everything we have gained if any down the crapper. We cannot afford even the appearance of defeat or weakness in this war against the insane jihadis. It will be a disaster beyond your power to conceive.

Do you really think that people who strap dynamite under their clothing to their bodies and then get on crowded buses or walk into hotel lobbies and detonate themselves or people who drive innocuous looking explosives-laden vehicles into embassies or markets or other crowded areas and blow themselves up or people, admitted as passengers, who hijack airplanes on a suicide/murder mission because they think they'll be rewarded in an afterlife -- do you think ANY of these people -- or their puppetmasters who are hiding somewhere in the hills of Afghanistan or Iraq or who knows where (!) -- are going to come out into the open and fight "fair" (whatever THAT means!)????
The whole idea of terrorism is to strike paralyzing fear into the greatest number of people.
This is NOT a John Wayne movie.
And, don't forget: Osama bin Laden has been hiding successfully in the desert where there is no where (?) to hide!

Because terrorists do not engage in that manner. The heady days when two opposing forces would meet in glorious battle on an open battlefield died with the US Civil war. Terrorists are cowards who prefer indiscriminate murder, deception, and seeking the shadows to carry out their insane intentions.

Hell, with the show down, invite them to a red neck hoe down. Serve up some southern style cooking, ribs, chicken, corn on the cob, sweet sun tea, ice cold watermelon, cold beer, collard greens and blackeyed peas and oh almost forgot Peach Pie. and well have ol Charlie Daniels playing the fid for us. Grab a towelhead and do the dos-si-do and other square dancing favorites. YEE HAW

Terrorists generally don't target US Soldiers save for a few snipers and a few guys with rudementary bomb making skills. They are generally targeting police, local government officials, and people seen collaborating with Americans. It would be difficult to convince them they could achieve their objectives by fighting American soldiers toe to toe in the desert.

Terrorists do not fight in open combat battle. They hide themselves in the civilian populace and leave the bombs for the innocent people to savor. They are cowards masked in deception.

Because we've been lied to. It's NOT about a "war on terrorists". It's all about trying to win THIS secret "prize"!...

I agree with you on that. Our troops dont need to be in any Iraqi city. They need to come home. We dont need to be there anymore. Nothing is going to be different a year from now or 10 years from now, except the US Soldier death toll.
