The mother could have killed them. Worms. Why didn't you take them to the vet? Too late now. Take the mother cat and have her fixed NOW!

There is something called fading kitten syndrome. I have not researched it or know anything beyond that it exists. Your best course of action here is to get your other kitty to a vet for an exam as it can effect more then one kitten in the litter. Her death might not have had anything to do with what I mentioned but it's still a good idea to have other kitty seen in case there's a correlation. I'm so sorry for your loss

Kittens can get sick from litter. There are chemicals in most litters that are toxic if the paw is licked and the litter is ingested. I switched to World's Best Cat Litter for that reason. There are a couple of other brands that have no chemicals. I have heard about this happening with kittens. Were they old enough to be using litter? Could they have picked it up from the Mother's paws? I'm very sorry for your loss. What a traumatic thing to go through. I had my cat get sick in the middle of the night and was lucky enough to find an after hours vet clinic at 10:00pm.

I'm so sorry to hear about your kittens, it's so tragic. There are many reasons why that could have happened but only a vet is going to be able to tell you.
Has the mother cat been vaccinated? Sometimes if she is carrying certain diseases, her kittens will not survive. Is the mother a very young cat herself and was this her first litter?
You should have mom checked by a vet to make sure she is healthy now and then have her spayed as soon as possible.
I'm sorry for your loss, good luck.

Did your cat have these kittens or did you adopt them? Because 4 weeks is a bit too young to be away from their mother.
Young animals can succumb to so many varying illnesses, it's impossible for anyone here to properly diagnose the problem. The only way you'll know for sure is to have a necropsy done by the vet.....which can be expensive, but hey, if you wanna know....

Panleucopenia is a deadly disease for your kittens. Death is very rapid and usually they cannot be saved if infected. It is similar to the parvo infection in puppies - sometimes puppies can be saved with heroic veterinary intervention. This is why it is so important for young cats and dogs to be vaccinated for these particular viruses and your kittens were too young to be vaccinated.
I am sorry you had to lose them. I do believe sincerely there was nothing you could have done to prevent it. It is just a tragedy.

You have no right breeding cats if you are not responsible enough to take them to the vet when the kittens showed any first signs of pain.
Please, get your female cat fixed.
