If you are bored of following something that have been following until now, then i do not recommend that you join a society or a cult, instead START YOUR OWN.....
This is coming to you from someone who has started his own, joining cults and societies that have been formed by other individuals will simply bore you just the same situation you are in right now will repeat itself.

The University of life?
I am British and most British people whinge and moan about our country too. Its called being spoilt and not knowing how lucky you are! Only Travelling around the rest of the world can take this feeling of dissatisfaction away. Join the University of life and travel its great fun too. I have lived in Romania, Canada, Australia and the USA (Great people not idiots! but I know that only because I travelled and worked overseas!)
I am also Catholic and the choice to walk away is yours. If you come back you will be welcomed with open arms! Explore have fun! I hope you rediscover your faith when the time is right. And I hope you give travel a try!

take time to look at your options. I do not think you would wont to join a cult . if you were catholic, maybe you would like to look at other christian denominations . I do not think you should call yourself an idiot and there for wonder if you are even american. God bless

Sorry, can't help you, buddy. You've got problems. If you don't like being Catholic why don't you go the Protestant route first? Try going to a Baptist or Methodist Church.

Start a personal study of the bible with jehovah's witnesses. It will help you to understand the falsehood of the catholic teachings that have stopped you knowing god and praying to him personally. ( without intercession by clergy e.g, priests )
