That happens a lot, no matter who the question is directed to. Everyone likes to be included in the question and answer process. When the question is directed towards one group, the others feel left out, and will frequently comment. This happens in all areas, and some people will respond hatefully. It is assumed that when a question is stated in the manner that yours is, that the asker is the same faith as the target audience, or in this case, atheist. The insults are then directed towards the asker by those who lack tolerance.

They are programmed to do the opposite of anything an atheist tells them to do. Plus, sometimes a christian will ask a question that says "Atheists only" and it is just a post for them to bash us with, and the other christians jump on board to second their opinions, and join in on condemning us for not swallowing their tripe. They suck, just ignore them.

the atheist tend to be more based in truth and honesty because they learn to reason rather then be told .... teach a man to fish and he'll have food forever. give him a free fish dinner and watch him starve this is the old spiritual food metaphor redone....

Yes my friend, I am ashamed to admit that many Christians spew hatred. Please believe me that Jesus does NOT want that from His followers.

We are instructed to LOVE because God is Love. We have to tell the Truth, but in LOVE. We need to show you the character of Jesus, but many dont and I can only say I am deeply sorry for this. God is LOVE my friend. He is sad when His people are ugly to people who do not love Him, because He loves THEM.

With love.

That sucks, dude, what can I say, not all people who claim to be, are. If you can dig it. read the words of Jesus,

Mt 7:16
Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Mt 7:17
Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
Mt 7:18
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Mt 7:19
Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Mt 7:20
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Mt 7:21
¶ Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mt 7:22
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mt 7:23
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
