mix the mince with the rice, add seasoning (black pepper/white pepper powder, onion & garlic powder, salt to taste, a dash of sugar. Then, roll into a ball and drop it into the egg (beat an egg), then coat it with cornflour. fry it.

Never tried the rice meatball with sweet & sour (i should try it myself!:) ) I usually eat it with mayo dip (squeezed some lemon juice, a dash of white pepper powder and oregano/sage)

Bon appetite!

It works well with minced pork and spring onion in a lettuce leaf.
Minced beef, I personally prefer soy, sugar and oystersauce.

Obviously this is part of the cooking process and not added later as a sauce.

And don't drown the meat, the mince should still be a little dry. Too much sauce and it gets manky to the taste.
If you mean you have pre-boiled rice for later, I would stir fry it with a little salt. This is because the mince is better dry.

Sweet and sour sauces do go with mince but not the packaged supermarket sauce. You can make your own it is really easy,

Sauce recipe:

3/4 cup of tomato ketcup or puree
2 tbs of Vinegar
2 tbs of brown sugar (white will also work)

Method: fry your mince with a little salt and pepper and finely chopped onions and green peppers (they are not spicy they just add flavour), once the mince has browned add the sauce. Cover and leave to simmer for about 15 minutes.

This meal goes really well with a Riesling.

Sweet 'n' sour sauce can go with a lot of things including mince and rice. But you could also go savory and sautee some onions and mushrooms with the mince, add a bit of soy sauce, toss with the warmed rice and enjoy!
You're making me hungry!

Oh no! Sounds vile! If you don't want to go the spicy route (and I would make a keema if it was me) why not just a simple savoury mince. Chop some onions, carrots (optional) and fry. Add the mince fry till it loses its pinkness. Add a tin of tomatoes and a stock cube with about 1/4 pint water.(you can even manage with out the tomatoes if you don't have them just increase the water). Salt and pepper to taste. Simmer til nice and thick. Great with chips actually or any kind of pasta.

no, not sweet and sour. why not try meat and potato pie and forget the rice? just put mince and chopped potatoes in a big pan, add onion if liked and a few oxo cubes, salt and pepper, let it boil then turn down and simmer until potatoes are soft, keep simmering and eventually potatoes will 'fall' and thicken the gravy. Put all into oven dish and make a crust for on top. plain flour, margarine or butter, salt, and water. mix flour and marg and salt, add just enough water to make it a dough and roll out to fit top of dish, if you need exact weights let me know.

Stick to Chilli, Lasagne, Spag Bol, and Cottage Pie for minced beef.

If you want to do anything else use proper cuts of beef.

It's not so much the flavour but the texture and appearance that will be lacking otherwise.

Sounds gross! but I don't like sweet and sour. Why don't you go for a white sauce like cheesy mince and rice. mmm... I have this sometimes. It looks a bit like sick, but it tastes great!
