In the late 1950s the local corner shop started to sell "Milky Tiger Nuts" both sweet and savoury at the same time, with a More-ish impact on the palate until suddenly you felt you had had enough.

I have not seen them anywhere in the UK for over 40 years.

But a quick search on the web reveals that :-

1. in the Form of a Drink (Horchata De Chufas) it is very popylar in Spain, particularly around Valencia - I enjoyed that in the Mid 60's on family holidays and did not know it was made from Milky Tiger Nuts!

2. in the UK, the importers now seem to sell them all to Anglers.

3. It is a Tuber.

Kinder Chocolate, and Lindt Chocolate.

But the best thing is, I am now a chocolatier, so I MAKE my favourite candy.

That's the art of happy living.

Aside from the cutie pie I dated in High School, my favorite childhood sweet was and still is chocolate...lots and lots of chocolate.
