This will normally sort itself out within a few weeks and you will either get your money back then or this coming April. If in doubt or worried speak to your payroles department/ tax department.

Your wages department should send away the appropriate information the the Revenue and they should then issue you with a new a tax code, when they do you will be informed of this. You could ring the Revenue yourself to find out what is happening with it, but if you are paying to much tax at the minute, when your tax code is adjusted, you will get this back!!

Emergency tax is be applied because you havent got a P45.You can then reclaim the emergency tax back by contacting the revelant tax office once you get a tax code from your new employer, who will then adjust your taxable amount in your next pay slip.

you don't need to do anything as long as you have filled out a new employee tax form. The Inland Revenue will automatically change it when they process the form and you will get a rebate of any emergency tax you have paid.

Your Wages department should sort it with tha tax office and you will get a refund at the end of the year.

If your wages office are crap you can speak to your local revenue office directly and they are usually very helpful
