I don't want to sound like some retarded teenager who has their dreams set on a car that they would probably never get or some teenager who only knows this car because of Gran Turismo but what ever happened to the Nissan Skyline Concept Car for 2001 I personally think this car would put the Auto World on its feet. Personally I currently own a simple Mercedes but I would go back to a Nissan in a heartbeat if I could simply even have a chance at owning this particular car or something simplar to it.

This was part of the story at Edmund's.com I much like you am hoping for this and I also hope that they stick with something similar to the concept pictures that car is flippin awesome!!!

"With so much of Nissan's product line new or updated, not much is expected to change over the next two years. A gasoline-electric hybrid version of the Altima (using Toyota technology, no less) is expected for 2006. Those hoping to see an official Nissan Skyline in North America will finally get their wish in 2007, though the latest car will be badged as the Infiniti GT-R."

I also checked out the Nissan Website and found this nifty piece of information so I'm selling my 5-Series and I'm gonna start saving my pennies!!! I'm sure other enthusiasts will appreciate this!!!

Nissan GT-R is a go for U.S.
The dream of every red-blooded automotive enthusiast is coming true. On April 12, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. President and CEO Carlos Ghosn gave the wake up call; the Nissan GT-R is go. The production version will make its world debut at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. It will go on sale in Japan in Fall 2007. U.S. and Canada will follow in Spring 2008.

It has been seen testing at Nirenberg Ring Nordshalfter course. Slightly disguised the GTR Nissan announced next fall as a 2008 model, 3.6 to 3.8 liter V-6 twin turbo 450 hp? I thought it would have the 4.5 V-8 turbocharged and over 500 hp To bad. Only slight changes from the pictures different rear spoiler and led tail lights and larger side mirrors with the blacked out patches like under the headlights. Lower air inlet has air directors to the inter coolers. the front fender rear vents remained

They have released it in foreign markets but do not ever plan on releasing it in the US. Check out Edmunds.com and search for the Skyline on their search bar. There is a statement from the CEO of the Nissan company who says that they don't plan on ever introducing it to the US because of VIN issues (non traditional vin numbers). If you bother importing one (I would applaud you for trying), you would have a serious headache trying to get it through customs/mvd because you wouldn't be able to get it titled. Not to mention the cost of the car, the cost to bring it over, and bribing whoever you would need to in order to be able to drive it. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. That car if flippin' sweet!
