It's been two years since my ex-boyfriend broke up with me when i moved away to college. we remained friends w/benefits for the last two years and recently when i found out he was with another girl i told him it has to stop. ignored his phone calls for about 2 weeks and he persistently called me over and over until i finally alled back. he still calls every two weeks...tells me he wants to make sure "im happy" what do you think is going on? if he has a new girl...doesn't want to be with me b/c i live at college 2 hours away...why does he call me so much? do u think he really still likes me but wants me to have fun at college and is using this girl for sex (he cheated on her with me). i just dont get it...he says "i want to make sure your happy...your such a great person..etc." any thoughts or advice? even though i still like him should i play the game?

You just be friends with him W/O BENEFITS and get you a friend. He still has feelings for you but probably hates that you two are far apart. It seems like he likes you because he wants you happy which is good but stay in contact with him because it looks like you two may have a future together, you never know.

Hmm..I don't get why you said the friends with benefits had to stop when he found someone..
Friends with benefits isn't exactly an exclusive relationship..
and he's not just using her for sex by the way..
Personally i think you'd both be better off just finding a real relationship.

What are you doing and thinking?
What is going on? YOU are being used!!!
He says he calls to make sure you are happy.
He MEANS he calls to make sure you are still available to DO when ever he wants.
You are ALLOWING YOURSELF TO BE manipulated.
He is NOT in love with her.
He is NOT in love with you.
When he finds someone he can LOVE, he'll stop calling you.
You must remember HE BROKE IT OFF
with you, because he wanted to persue other women.
Hold your own self higher than to keep grasping at the crumbs he now tosses.
Time for YOU to dump his behind.
You want a man that KNOWS you are the one, and has no interest in other females at all
(including when you two are apart).
It IS VERY possible to wait (long distance) for someone you truly love, and NOT be interested in anyone else that is "handy", AND NOT want to satisfy one's "desire" with someone else "handy".
If you allow yourself to continue this relationship, admit to yourself it is only about
his ego, and "benefits". There is no love here that will last.
Take good care of YOUR heart first

its gonna hurt in d long run so im gonna ask u to tell him 2 stop calling u and get a move on with ur life. what r u waiting for? to get a wedding invite?hes just feeding his ego that ure in so much pain cuz hes dating another girl and ud better believe it he wont break it off with the other girl. so ill advice that u focus on ur studies and the rightest guy will definately come ur way. sometimes a doors gotta close for another one to open . let me know what u decide 2 do k?

you shouldn't play a game you're bound to lose. that's all i have for you gurl.
i mean whichever angle you look at it, you are gonna lose. if you play along with him, you will be his plaything for awhile and then what? you will make yourself appear desperate and that should not be the case.
give yourself a break and start fresh. there's a whole world out tehre for you to get to know. so go and explore =)
