Lets grant illegal immigrants citizenship simply by requiring them to commit to a mandatory 4 year military enlistment in Iraq or Afganistan with no pay as their way to show the United States Government that they indeed are willing to do what it takes to gain citizenship in this country and to prove their loyalty to our Freedom that veterans like myself and others have given of themselves and sacraficed so much in order to attain what we cherish and have bled for. Why not let them prove themselves and fight for what they want like we have? If they truly want to live and work in this country then why don't we make it mandatory for them to earn what we americans have earned when we were called upon and put our lives on the line so many times without fail. Our young men and women are dying everyday for this countries interest which is completely unselfish and true American dedication and resolve being that it is a voluntary military for citizens but should be mandatory for illegals.

You can not be in the US military unless you can speak English.The people serving in the military already have green cards..Permanent residence was offered to those with green cards,about 10,000 signed up for it but they were already in the military
My husband spent 20 yrs in the Army,he was a POW in Vite Nam for 15 months.Don't tell me about war.I died every single day of the 15 months.Only those that WANT to serve and defend this nation,deserve to be in the military.

These illegal alien patriots stole someone else’s Identification and Social Security numbers to joined the Army. Identity theft is a CRIME!
While America’s men and women are in Iraq and other countries dying and getting wounded and risking there lives for their country.
Illegal aliens are sitting on there couches watching ETHNIC T.V. and drinking Coronas and guzzling Tequila.
Illegal aliens are getting their housing and medical paid for while collecting food stamps and medicare and welfare while they’re working under the table. Thanks to their fertile girl friends they increase their incomes yearly by popping out babies like a human Pez dispenser, to suck up the education money!

Nope. Our military would go down the drain along with our neighborhoods.
Soldiers who are forced to join...and if they feel they need to be in US, then they are forced to join under your plan...do not do a good job.
They cannot be trusted to follow our laws and they cannot be trusted to fight for this nation of laws.
If you want, we could send them all to Italy (In other words, give them the boot.)

yes, same for uk, but instead of 4 years think it should be 10 years of serving the country or working, and paying taxes but they are not entitled to any benefits or health service until thier 10 years is up and they have contributed towards it, instead of just being spongers, and all tax payers contribite for them, it is a absolute joke.
