She said that she is intrigued by me & that the best thing would be for me to be her friend right now. i see her almost everyday and she calls me or i'll call her sometimes. we hang out and talk a lot. her ex broke up with her recently after a five year relationship and he is also trying to go out with her, but when he found out about the kissing between me and her he went insane. she says that she still loves him, but doesn't know how much longer she'll put up with his attitude & makes excuses for him. i don't know what she sees in him. he's definitely way uglier than me and more immature. now, that she isn't with him she has no friends at college except me and her ex is back home so i feel like i'm the only one she can count on. if i left her now she would think that i was only after one thing. she said that she would understand if i didn't want to be her friend when i explained how much the situation sucks. sometimes i feel like if i took more action i might win her over

Be the friend not the rebound guy.In 2 weeks or 2 months you want to be able to look at this situation and know you made the right choice...
If you push or take more action into getting her to committ to you on alevel other than friendship in 2 weeks 3 weeks heck even 2 months or 3 months,you'll start to ask yourself did she want me for me.Or was I the *rebound guy*?
If you worry about what she'll think of you as you said that you only wanted the 1 thing prove her wrong be strong be supportive to the best of your ability.Share your thoughts and opinions with her be a FRIEND...
Heck thats where all good relationships begin.Get to really know each other see if you have things truly in common.Help build her back up without harming her already fragile heart.But also becareful she's a woman she doesn't really KNOW what she wants or whats wrong or right about how she feels.She's totally vulnerable right now be aware of that.Because women we are fickle creatures and she may wanna do the the naughty with you just for some form of comfort.If that happens I say step back and tell her holding her is just as good.Don't hurt a budding friendship...

well um, if he ever goes insane around you, kick is a*s, ther aint no call for that sh*t, hes the ex, he can so suck somethin. be her friend, but always put yourself a bit above him, if u see a flaw he has like a temper, than stay cool and calm most of the time, if he used to buy her 50 dollar gifts, u buy her 100 dollar gifts, if he kept her content in bed, u make her scream... oh and for the record, ive never had a girl say i intrigued her... as a matter of fact i dont even kno any chix that have said anything intrigued them...

well maybe you should try to put up with the situation for a while. i know it may not be very easy but the thing is if you feel that you're the only one she's got, then you should be there for her right? who knows? she might just get over the ex completely if she sees and feels that you are more worthy
