15 days ?
Venice would bleed your money to death!

Go for tuscany, there are many wonderful cities to see: Florence, Pisa, Siena, Viareggio, Lucca.
The food is awesome and the wine is top notch!

Hi,

Head for Taormina, Sicily!
This is an ideal initial start of your honeymoon.
Warm weather and romantic surroundings.

Hire a car and travel along the southern coastline and visit the different cities near the coast and also in the inland.

Syracuse, Agrigento and Caltagirone is my favourites.

You should also try to visit Palermo, it's kind of similar to Naples on the mainland - unique, unorganized, colorful and charming in it's own way.

Mount Etna is a must see!
You can go by special transport up to the top and this will be a memory you'll not forget.

VENICE (with a gondola ride), ROME (with the Trevi Fountain, night time tour of the 7 hills of Rome, and the Vatican), and the ISLE OF CAPRI are a must !

I was in Capri once, 25 years ago, & will go back again some time in the next year. It is the most magnificent place I have ever seen ! You can take a day-long bus tour to Sorrento which then takes you on a hydrofoil boat (about 20-30 min) to Capri. When I went, the bus wound up & up into the mountains, with a magnificent view near the top where we had dinner at San Michele. There is also a lift to the very top of the mountain, a courtyard with a tall statue of Caeser leaning over the edge of the cliff, and a canoe ride (into the mountain) to see the magnificent "Blue Grotto".

Capri is truly a breathtaking PARADISE. I can't wait to go back. In fact, I may never come home again !

i went on a europe tour this summer, i say venice has too many toursts, but is very beautiful although, hotels in europe are very tiny so choose wisely
try looking at tours if u are interested, they are very good, butit is not a vacation that u can relax on a beach, u have to walk around and everything.

tours are good because they show you everything and TAKE YOU EVERYWHERE! if you go by yourself, will u drive? do u know the way? what will happn in an emergency? consider these things if u are going to do so
anyways, a good tour group would be TRAFALGAR, they even have a cost saver type which is under a budget. my group had 3 couples on honeymoons!

check it out

also, CAPRI ISLAND is beautful! take a boat tour around it, it has an attraction from a 007 movie, and the water is beautiful! actually BLUE water, nice and sunny there, and if u get close to a cliff or rock, the water is green or blue and emerald green/ thatwater sparkles from the island and there are beautiful gardens there too. to get there, you must go to the bay of naples and get a boat to CAPRI

Hi, I'm Italian and I live in Tuscany, in Italy you have many possibilities depending on the kind of Honeymoon you like to have.

I can suggest to spend 3/4 days in Rome + 3/4 days in Umbria (Assisi, Perugia, Gubbio, Città di Castello...) + 4 to 7 days in Tuscany (Florence and Chianti Region, Sienna, San Gimignano, Volterra, Lucca, Arezzo and Pisa) and the last days in Venice.

If you like to have a more relaxing Honeymoon and you have the possibility to come back to Italy in another time, spend your days around Rome and Florence and in Venice.
In Rome and Florence you can find very nice Hotel or Bed&Breakfast outside the noisy of the town, with Beauty Center or Spa, Horses or Biketours in this way you can have some days of full relax.

To book the Hotel you can use the web venere.com or italyby.com most of Accommodations are available online.
You can contact me if you required more information, addresses or tips.

Have a nice Honeymoon!

If you want a great little italian experience..
Taormina, Sicily..
It's on the east coast..
Great food...Nice beach...warm water...
Active volcano to visit.

Hard to find any great tuscan, or piedmont wine, since they prefer to sell Sicilian wines.

Nice city with great restaurants, and a few night clubs, a beautiful square overlooking the sea, where you can drink your cappucino..

They have a theatre, that was used by the greeks 3000 years ago..
then taken over by the romans 2000 years ago..
And now it is still used for concerts, and plays.

I've been all over Italy, and love it all, but this is the place I'd choose to bring everyone I know to if I could.

everyone says that Venice is a beautyful city, the best in world, romantic... but i don't think so!
Venice is a humid, foggy and sad city don't like it at all.

Naples, Rome, Florence, Palermo, Milano, Aosta, Bolzano, Bologna and many others are better than Venice.

have a nice stand in italy!

hey . make up ur mind.
Honeymooning or touring?
Venice , rome, florence are exceedingly crowded (not suitable for honeymooning)
Venice is very dirty (the water is filthy)
Milan is only for fashion.
Try to stick to the amalfi coast and tuscany.
and also try out the south of italy.
read lonely planets book on italy and you will get soem idea about everything in it
