I'm sending a record and don't want the postman to bend it.

In Danish that would be: "Må ikke bøjes" or "Maa ikke boejes" in case your computer is unable to read the special correct Danish characters in the first sentence.

Hope this helps.

There is no need, the Danish speak perfect English or at least half of them, and anyway in my experience if you put, " Photo's do not bend " on an envelope, some wise crack says " Oh yes they bloody do " and promptly folds them in half

Maybe I'm just a cynic. But it seems to me, everytime I posted something as Fragile it got crushed, and when I wrote "do not Bend" it was treated like oragami paper.

Like I say, maybe I'm cynical, but I think people in post offices do it on purpose. I wouldn't put the words on a package. I'd pack the record in stiff cardboard so that it couldn't be bent, and leave it at that.

Royal Navy medics used to post out the X ray pictures of patients to various ships and submarines.
They used to send them in hard backed letters with the words X Rays. Do not bend.

By the time they were received someone had always folded them in two and scrawled "Oh yes they do", over them.

Incidentally, most Danes are articulate and understand English. I'd try that.

Write "do not bend"in big red letters on the package, and pack the record between two pieces of thinish plywood,so they cant bend it.
It will weigh a little more but it works

Just write it in english, they will understand, or go to the post office and get one of those little stickers.

the post man won't even read it ! he will likely bend it, so forget it. but you can pay an extra small fee and have it registered, so that it will be taken extra care of (:

Could try

Skor (O with a line through it) which means Fragile

Gore Boje Sig (I think that right) which means dont Bend

I could be wrong though, if someone elses danish better please let me know.
