Hi. I don't want to give anyone a sob story, but I had an unfortunate incident actually, many unfortunate incidents happen to me when I was a child. Many forms of abuse. including sexual abuse. Sometimes I have edisodes of anger and resentment. But that was over 20 years ago.

From personal experience its very common. I still give hatred towards the people that hurt me in so many different ways. Its affected to me to wonder why people wanna talk to me and why a guy could fall in love with me. I pushed away all my friends, but i dont want them to see me hurting. I get so angry when something doesnt go to the way i planned. If you ever feel like talking to someone u can email me and let me know how to contact you. I wish i could give you a huge hug just to let you know that someone cares about your feelings.

sounds like you have alot of baggage that your carrying around. maybe you should go to counseling and try to figure this out. When something dramatic like that happens it does affect you and how you live your life. The most important thing is that if you have a family, you shouldn't let your anger and resentment go towards them, because that could cause them to have problems in the future as well. I feel that talking with someone helps me, and with the severity of your childhood incidents, professional help probably is the best way to go. Maybe then you can move past those horrible things that happened to you and go on with your life without all of the anger. I hope things really work out for you.

The childhood coping mechanism is to repress memories and feelings. I know that when I began looking at my own life that there were(and still are) a lot of things I had to deal with and get out of my system. Stuff like that doesn't go away, it hangs around in the background until something triggers the memory. With something as traumatic as abuse it is definitely going to affect you. You need to work on letting things out and forgiving people who have hurt you, not that I am excusing or condoning their behavior, but for your sake. It's baggage that weighs you down. Take a load off! :)

Well here comes the psycho babble. It is a common belief that if you had an unhappy childhood you are no longer responsible for your actions. Who am I to argue with the educated ones. But I do confess I secretly wish adults would accept responsibility for there own lives and quit blaming there childhood. were adults now lets move on. Okay again I'm probably not educated enough to answer this question. So let the psycho babble begin! Okay i realize this isn't asked in the religious section but I am required to be honest in my answers...if you are having trouble with any situation in your life I would suggest you give it to God. It is much better than carrying it with you.

You cannot change what happened so you shouldn't let it rule your life
Put it to one side and move on. Many people suffered horribly in their youth. Think of the children in Auswitch and the survivers of Belsen and Dr Mengeles experiments. And the chidren of Pol Pot, and Rwanda and so on. Horrors beyond belief.
There are millions out there.who had terrible lives. and they only win in later life by putting it away.. You will never forget, but you can move on.
