Maybe the truth is that they are all searching for the answers to life. Let me tell them what they are all searching for "JESUS"

I think the real reason is that many atheists are intelligent and have good jobs, so they have nice big computers with fast Internet connections and more free time to be on these boards. On the other hand, most organized religions ask their members to give until it hurts. So, they are out volunteering giving them less free time and and have dumped even their spare change in the collecting plate and so have less money. This combines to restrict their leisurely answering hundreds of questions into the wee hours of the night.

The enigma in the paradox is that I grew up atheist and now have found my spirituality in the Kabbalah. Is my answer truly negative or Gods next spiritual lesson?

You make me laugh. You give Christians a bad name because you are the negative one. You think that Atheists are without morals just because they are without God. Atheists have morals as do all members of Society.

Have you ever wondered why so many prison inmates are Christian and not atheists? Even those that recidivate? Hmm. I think you should worry more about the morals of Christians. You can work on the Athiests after you clean your own house.

You make condescending comments and ask insulting questions. Why are YOU so fascinated by Atheists? Leave them alone. How does their belief hurt you? Are you harassing Buddhists, Taoists, Hindus, Muslims, etc. too? Why do you care if they burn in Hell?

Get a life. Practice forgiveness. It isn't YOUR place to judge others. Go to Church and stay awake. You haven't been paying attention.

It does make me think. And wonder. Like, I wonder why questions like this get asked every day. I wonder why people get so hepped up over atheism. I wonder why people need to make blanket remarks like, if all you atheists were positive people...as if christians alone have a patent on positivity. I answer things with a negative tone because there is only so much stupidity and foolishness I can take. There is only so much "evolution is impossible" scientifc closed mindedness I can stand before I flip. I'm am a very upbeat person damn it! AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!

Sorry. Had a 12 Angry Men flashback there for a sec. I'm better now.

A small percent with the witty sarcastic answers ruins it for the whole bunch. I am not keeping score on what group is disproportionately rude, but I will apologize for my rude answers, except yesterday when a person asked "why bible pages make such good rolling paper" -(which by the way was - why do you think Jesus was the light of the world)

P.S. - Christian - young earth - not evolution - yeah scientist

Who said athiests are negative people. its the people who believe in god who are the most negative. because they dont know how to react when somebody says there is no god. medival ages they got away with burning people. which again is a negative act.
most athiests die a peaceful death. they have no heaven or hell to go to. thier heaven and hell is this mother earth. for those believers they have to struggle to go to heaven. if they fell into hell, then its hell for them. believers believe out of fear. fear of devil? partially. but then they are afraid of god also, what will happen if he decided to close the gates of heaven for them. all that they dreamed will go up in smoke. so believers die a painful, pathetic death.
on the other hand, athiest is does not mess around with others private beliefs. so he is more happy and dies a healthy painless happy death.
now tell me who is negative.

Atheists are spiritual, just not dogmatic.

But you'll notice the questions Christians ask aren't really questions at all, just mildly veiled attacks on non-believers (kinda like yours). When Christians show no desire to understand or communicate, and instead are so utterly condescending and confrontational with their "innocent questions", it's only natural Atheists become defensive.

We're only human.

The problem is that many so-called Christians direct much ungodly negativity at the atheists, who in turn become defensive & assume that all Christians are hateful based on their unfortunate experience. Then they attack all Christians in what their subconscious sees as self-defense. ie- hate breeds more hate. At least that's my take on it.

Hmm.. 3 thumbs down... Wow. My point is proven.

Oh, yeah, and I forgot to point out: Atheists have just as much right to post here as anyone else.

It only makes me think how terrible religions are. They will affect your whole world, kill you by forbidding condoms or by putting obstacles to serious scientific work, AND they will tell you that being critical of them is being 'negative'. Well, of course my vision of religions is 'negative'!!!! What would you expect about an organisation that has caused SO MANY terrible things along history? And that keeps indirectly killing by not accepting we're in the 21st century, and things cannot be like in the Dark Ages of the Inquisition!

I am bored. I can get away with saying stuff here that would get me killed in real life. This is the place I get to vent.

As an atheist I agree with you; however, it is the same for religious people. Good people are good people, bad people are bad people. Religious people and atheist make up both sides equally in my opinion.
