I'm having a little trouble reassembling my 870 express, i converted the wood stock to a synthetic stock and i am having trouble getting the the that has a metalic colored thing that fits in the black part taht when you cock it slides back and forth the little "window" where you see your new shells go in when you pump it. I cant get the metallic and black thing in at the same time, i can get them to fit where they are supposed to seperately, one by one, but not together? any pictures links or explanations on how to do this would be great... sorry for my terminology i dont know the right words for the parts : (

Remington's webpage has schematic blowups for every gun and zoomable features to get your parts back in the right spots. Otherwise take it to a gunsmith. Shouldn't cost more than $35 to $40 bucks, depending where you're at. They've seen everything, don't be embarassed.

JUDGING BY THE VENACULAR YOU ARE USING I THINK YOU ARE COURTING DISASTER
TAKE THE GUN TO A GUNSMITH AND HAVE HIM REASSEMBLE THE COLORED THINGY AND BLACK PART SO YOU DONT BLOW THE BREATHING PART OF YOUR FACE
WHILE YOU ARE THERE SPEND $12 ON A BOOK ON SHOTGUNS THAT SHOWS DISASSEMBLY AND REASSEMBLY PROCEDURES AND STUDY IT
IT WILL BE WELL WORTH THE MONEY

You need to know the names of each part or at least post a pic
