When you are done frying chicken...pour out the oil....that leaves the brown crumbs and about 3 T oil....add 3 t flour to the hot oil....stir it until it forms a paste. Add 2 cups hot milk, and stir constantly, bringing to boil......boil until it is the thickness you like. Add salt & pepper to taste.

That is a recipe for country gravy. (white)

. Gravies are hard for some people to master. But let's give it a try! Fry your chick. in a cast iron fry pan. When done pour off all the oil except two tbs.Over med. heat add about a third of a cup of your left over seasoned flour. Incorperate into the oil quickley so you don't get lumps.Cook untill flour is the color of caramels.Stirring consantly. When you get the write color add water,3 cups stirring constantly untill it comes to a boil. If it is to thick add more water a little at a time , reduce your heat and simmer. Don't forget to salt and pepper. In 5mins. your ready to put that gravyover some hot mashed potato's!

You can make a milk gravy using some chicken stock, since you won't get any drippings from fried chicken. A lot of canned gravies are pretty tasty too, if you just want to cheat and use one of them.

You don't. Fried chicken is perfect the way it is and doesn't need gravy.
