Please Read the lyrics and watch the video. Tell me what you hear in the song. What it means to you. Also, what do you think about what the girl says? Is she being Sarcastic or is she serious about loathing him and wanting to leave it all behind.

this song was written about his clarinet teachers daughter... hence 'the blowers daughter'. Following on from what has already been said, I think its to do with lust / infatuation for someone.

Damien struggled to perform the song as he wanted when he was recording the album - in desperation he performed the song in front of the girl in question - and this recording is the version that is heard on the album 'O'. Evidently, shortly after performing the song he realised he no longer had these strong feelings for her! If he hadn't of found the inspiration to perform the song from the blowers daughter herself the song wouldn't have been on the album. Thank God he did!!

I think the song is about two friends and they are just happy chilling and not accomplishing anything with their lives. He likes her but it doesn't matter to him if she likes him back as he just likes hanging out with her and being able to be near her.

Is she being Sarcastic or is she serious about loathing him and wanting to leave it all behind. I think this is just asking why they are not together, what did she ever say to give the impression she didn't want more

I think the song deals with infatuation. Lusting for someone, but with no real feelings of attachment, and when someone "better" comes along, it's over.
