okay I'm not really looking for advice but for an answer if somebody might be able to provide one, the story goes like this, I met this girl and she seemed terrific, everything a guy could possibly ever want, pretty, great personality, always happy etc. well I found out that ever since I asked her out she's been lieying about what she says to me (wich would be stuff like I'm falling in love with you etc.) and dating another guy, so I got played and cheated on, major ouch! but I was wondering if anybody might have an answer as to why some girl who I never did anything wrong to would pretend to be somebody that she isnt?

because she thinks she can get away with it..
there are a lot of reasons : for fun w/c is sick, to boost her esteem that men will still want her, to make her man jealous, she think of you as fallback if something nasty happen with her relationship now, she does like you but not love you to that extent, she wants the attention, she's a player....i can go on until i'm off for work but i don't want that..
now, dump her, she's not worth a zack!...she'll have a dose of her own medicine someday.. next time be cautious...to err is human..

Your right, you didn't do anything wrong. Actually it could of been any male who came her way. This girl does seem one way, but is truly very insecure, and dishonest/scared. She is a co-dependent person. Someone who needs to have a person waiting in line before she gets rid of the person she has. They can't seem to be alone without a partner, doesn't even like to be alone with themselves. They are superficial people. Lot's of times people like this get away with their behavior, because the person they left behind are too hurt to say anything. They leave the person feeling like something IS wrong with them! Maybe next time you'll see her coming! Don't be afraid of girls like this, just count your blessings when you move to the side and let them walk by!!

There isn't necessarily an answer to this question (as you pointed out). As hard as it is - try not to take it personally. This is about her - not about you - and not about anything you did wrong. You're obviously nicer, more considerate person that she is. Sounds like she could have some major issues?Try not to get disheartened - there is someone else for you.

I would have to say that this girl has major problems. No one in their right mind would do such a thing: for what possible purpose could she have had??
If you think about it, it does NOT make any sense.
She is not in control of HERSELF and cannot be responsible for her own actions.
Lucky you found out, and now; it's time to move on. Good luck with your search for happiness.

Don't try to understand women, just find another one who treats you better.
