Communication, make time for each other as family and alone as a couple : date night away or sit in the living room and talk after the kids are asleep, be willing to listen and to change. Be honest and work things out. Try to deal with your past. Why do I react a certain way? Mostly it is true that: " the issue is not the issue" You often fight about little things. The real issue lies deeper.Try to find out what is really going on and talk about it and work things out but also accept the other one. I don't think I could do it without God's help.

Traditions! Have things that you do together regularly e.g. breakfast out every sat morning or you always bring home a bottle of wine every Friday. A couple of common interests too, so that you can enjoy spending time together. Don't take the other person for granted and tell them when they do or don't do something that annoys you. Have a life together but also have your own lives. You can't expect someone else to make you happy - make yourself happy, too.

eih the essentials of love is mutual trust, respect and love..the relationship should work both ways..there's no you and me thing now..it's we, it means your partners in everything nobody is higher and nobody should be controlling every decisions..you should drive together in the same road..but if ever you reach a crossroad then you need to hear each other out..then learn to compromise and meet at the center of the folds...keep your communication lines open and make each day an unforgetable moment..
Making a relationship last long takes a lot of hard work and love..hehe

you talk openly to each other about everything. You help each other do what is best for them. You trully love the person you are with and let them know it everyday. You let them be what ever they really are. You have fun . You work together. You do new things together. you have great sex. You cherish each other. Like breakfast in bed. You have farting contests. You watch some of the same shows but give each other the freedom to watch separate shows if they want to .

The secret is respect, trust, commitment. But for all these things to be good there has to be good communication. Make sure you and your partner can and will communicate about issues and lovingly share yourselves together thru open communication.

Keep monotony out the door. Treat every day as if it were your first day together. Make small body contacts as much as possible, a light kiss on the cheek or the forehead, perhaps.
