because when i try to hook it up on either side of the seat it wont stay tight.its too easy to fall over.it has the sholder belts on the sides in the middle it has the lap belt and stays tight .

the middle seat in a car is actually the safest place for the baby's carseat. most manuals will tell you this. it protects the baby if you were to get into a side-impact car accident.

the car seat should have also come with a metal clip that you attach to the lap belt to keep it from coming loose. It's a small metal device that looks like an oversize paperclip, the locking clip fits around the seat belt (about a half-inch above the buckle) to hold the belt firmly in place. If your car seat didn't come with a locking clip or you've misplaced it, contact the manufacturer to order a replacement or purchase one at a children's supply store.

I do not see the problem with putting the carseat in the middle I put the carseat in the middle i kinda prefer it i think it is safer if we get into a car accident.

My carseat instructions specifically told me to put ours in the middle of the back seat.

I think it's safe, as long as it stays tight in the middle, and you can check your baby in the mirror!

I think its ok. Seems safer to. and once you tighten it.. it stays !
