try not to think about it... Its all MIND OVER MATTER. Try to find something else to do than smoking... buy a bag of baby carrots and munch on them when u get the urge... because psychologically its the same motion as smoking, but a million times better for u;)
Keep it up! dont smoke.... and I advise you drink lots of green tea as it decreases ur chances of lung disease by about 65% and many other things as well.

Terrific! Keep up the great work! Congratulations on wanting to be a good example for someone you love. Yes, it does get easier. Try attaching a picture of your neice to the cigarette pack with a rubber band, to keep you focused on your goal. Also, keep your hands busy (knit, play the piano, play cards, anything), so you don't have the ability to hold a cigarette. There are many web sites and support groups available to help you achieve this important goal. Hang in there...you can do it!!

I smoke weed on a daily basis, yet won't smoke a cigarette. Marijuana is organic, right now from the dirt, no chemical compounds extra. There are a bunch of misconceptions approximately this herb too, jointly with killing recommendations cells. video clips generally blow weed way out of share having a majority of those extensive exaggerations on what weed is like.

i quit cold turkey 3 months ago. it does take some time. the first week is the hardest. it will get better. try to ween off the gum too. It may be adding to the difficulty by keeping nicotene in your system. and making the bad cravings last longer. Some people when their quitting have a cig. when it gets really bad -ONE!! and then continue with it. if you do break down and have one get one from someone, whatever you do, don't buy any. and just keep working on it. Dont quit quitting!!!! Good Luck

Ugh, quitting smokeing was one of the toughest things i've ever done, For me the first week was the hardest so hang in there. Quitting was the best thing i ever did. I can smell and tast my food, i have cash, and i feel a whole lot better than i did. YOU CAN DO IT!!

One little trick that helped me, is i started buying gas useing the "pay at the pump" feature. If i went inside it was just way to easy to say, $20 in gas and a pack of marbs.

Hang in there, i'll be pullin for ya.

Don't give up.....in a few days you will start feeling better. Actually now you are just feeling the emotional addiction you are nearly over the chemical addiction.

In about a week you will start to smell smokers and realize how bad you actually smelled as a smoker.

Best of wishes

i sympathize with you.

what , with your niece coming,
if you have to smoke, do it outside , and tell her your reasons why.

what has worked for me is a major medical incident where you
don't think about smoking.
it seems so ridiculous, to leave a medical center and start puffing again; but it happens.

that is what will work for me ,
the next time.

YEAH! Duh! It's Bad!

It's not just setting an example to your neice that you should think of.

I was diagnosed of Acute Brochitis due to Passive Smoking... (meaning: People smoking are the one's affected my health...and I being able to smell their smoke)... been hospitalized for some time... absent in my varsity parctices... and really in bed coughing like i did smoke.

If you think you'd die from it ... think of your neice ... she'd die ahead of you if she gets that passive smoking illness...

Tsk! Tsk! Tsk!

QUITTING is a big word! So might as well do something else than just chewign gum... those who are not doing much are those who are more prone to smoking... my grandpa (dad's father) died of Pulmonia and Bronchitis due to smoking.... and my granpa (mom's dad) keeps coughing like he'll cough he's lungs out from too much smoking...
