For guys that quite normal. So you are right in saying that's average. Mine's around that too.

Club head speed varies with the length of the shaft. A 45" long driver is hit between 120 & 135 MPH by most top professionals, At 90 to 100 MPH by good amateurs & LPGA players and aroud 75 to 85 MPH by most good women players .
The shorter the shaft the lower the club head speed as an example I swing My driver @ 95 MPH while my 7 iron is only 75 MPH.

Most men golfers are more like 85. 105 would have put you into the pro category about 20 years ago. Mine is 97.
More importantly, what is your launch angle? It should be about 15 degrees. You can have a bad launch angle and hit the ball 230 with a 105 swing speed. You should be around 275 maybe farther if you maximize your spin rate.

Listen: Club head speed normally measured from driver.
80 miles/hour is normal amatuer with normal flex shaft.
90 M/H is fast swing with stiff flex,
100-120 is pro.
Tiger swing speed is not that fast but the effectiveness of the hit;i.e. sweet spot hit and momentum that put into the ball that makes it go very far.
Once in a pro-am tournament, they measured one movie actor swing speed to 135 M/H, but he got his ball about 160 yards, VS Tiger soft hit at about 100 M/H that ball went 280 yards!
Golf is not a sport car contest.

The easiest way to learn golf like a pro is by following "The Simple Golf Swing" program. It's primarily a 31 page eBook that teaches golfers how to make solid contact with the ball, how to avoid hitting fat, how to avoid slicing, how get more power, accuracy, and consistency in your swing. Consistency being the number 1 golf skill.
You not only get the eBook though, you also receive a ton of extra material including video, lessons on putting, driving, chipping, sand play etc. Here is their official site: http://www.golfswingguru.net

Mine is a bit less than that but I hit 300+ just barely. I'm a bigger guy though with quite a bit of muscle in the forearms. Drywall makes for great golfing!
