For the love of god do not get a black car. I had a black GTI and a black New Beetle Turbo S that were both show cars. The color looked cool as hell, but is a nightmare to maintain. If you buy a black car and ever take it through a car wash you will see swirl marks in your paint forever, if you do a bad job waxing it your poor waxing skills will stand out like a sore thumb, rock chips, dust, and scratches are more visible than with any other color...and it gets ridiculously hot inside...
Get a silver car, it looks classy and is easy to maintain...

At 60 years old I have had several cars and all I can tell you is the darker the color, the more attention it needs to keep it looking nice. A tan car setting next to a black car for a month with no washing etc will look fine while the black one will look awful.
So now you know. Decide how much you want to wash your baby and pick a color you like based on that.

black isn't a bad color for a car...just that in the summer, if you live in an area that gets hot, the black color will only aid the heat in making the inside of your vehicle hot.
other than that, I think black is a great color for a car. I also like certain shades of red and blue.
Also, nice job in picking Toyota.....I really think they make the most reliable vehicles on the road.
good luck:)

The only thing bad about black cars is everything shows up on them and I mean everything. I would go with a dark blue metallic if they got it in that color only beacuse Blue and Red are my faviorte. But if you want black get black. Its your car and your going to be driving it and taking care of it. Dont let no one talk you out of something that you really want. Who cares they are not paying for it you are.

If they offer two-color options, you might want to try out black and silver.
Black is generally discouraged because the car tends to be hotter inside in hot weather.
If you want a black car, get one. A lighter-colored vinyl top might help the heat problem.
