I think it all boils down to the love we have for our children. We love them so much that our expectations of them surpass what we expect from anyone else. For example, if a friend of yours says somethin like.."Oh, i just cant get my son to take out the trash and do his homework when he's suppose to" and you respond like " don't worry, he'll grow up soon enough just give him a chance." Then you walk two doors dwn to your house and yur son who is the same age, is sitting there with a video game on and talking on the phone, you look over and the garbage is coming out of the can, his books have never been opened and the you bug out. " What is the matter with you, havent I told you a thousand time, handle your responsabilities before you start lounging around, you are too old to still be doing this, how are you gonna take care of yourself in the real world if you cant even take the garbage out. You beter grow up kid, life isnt gonna wait for you. Its time you learn t be a mature responsible adult, I cant take care of you for the rest of your life. "

And Like I said, I think that is because we love our kids so much and we want to be sure that they will be alright in the future. And it is frustrating to us as parents when we think somehow we have failed or havent taught our children well enough to have common sense, responsability, survival skills and so on and so forth. So from the time they are little ones..to there teenage years..we dont cut them slack the way we would someone else.

Most children are brats. I wish airplanes would have a sealed off / soundproof child section.
