Everclear but it's illegal in some states. Devils Springs is strong stuff also. Southern Comfort is not strong at all, it's a sipping drink, and Absynth is not legal in the States...the laws to it are shady because it's made of wormwood which is toxic.

The strongest alcohol on the market is Everclear. It is 190 proof or 95% alcohol. It is not meant to be consumed without mixing it with other ingredients. I have a recipe for imitation Kahlua that I use Everclear in.

Everclear is some STRONG stuff. Bacardi 151 is up there pretty high. Anyone ever heard of 99 Bananas? It is 99 proof banana liquor. Pretty much anything more than 75 proof is guaranteed to mess you up quick, so be careful, and read your labels carefully.

Everclear is 190 Proof. Alcohol does not get any stronger than this. It is not legal in a lot of states and is not meant to be used as a straight shot.

There is a rum that is 151 proof (75.5% alcohol). Except for Everclear, which is not really a beverage, I think that is the highest.

PGA or "Pure Grain Alcohol"
Everclear is one brand name for PGA. At its strongest, it's bottled and sold at 95% or 190 proof. Alcohol can't exist stronger than that as it absorbs water from the air and equalizes at 96.5%
In some locations, you can't purchase it stronger than 75% or 151 proof.
In either strength, it's meant to be added to things, not consumed directly.

Some liquor stores carry alcohol which has the highest proof rating possible, almost 200 proof. It is so strong you cannot drink it straight. You may die.
To drink it it has to be diluted 100 percent or 1 to 1 by volume.
Sailors in the navy know it as torpedo juice as it used to be, and may still be, used to fuel torpedos, They used to drain some once in awhile and drink it. Diluted of course.
