I do not have a technical answer for you but I am a 46 year old female and I found out that depending on how you treat your skin along the road of life is how it turns around. My girlfriend and I are the same age and grew up together as a young girl she used creams on her face and sunscreen when she went out in the sun always. And I was just the opposite I never used sunscreen and loved the sun and never used creams and now today my skin is getting wrinkles and hers still is not. It also depends on your diet through your life and your heritage. Some people just seem to age faster than others. But one thing is for sure if you eat right and take care of your skin it will stay healthy longer. Hope this in some way helps.

The aging process starts at conception. When you start to look "old" is a matter of perception.

Paintball was absolutely correct. Our bodies are always repairing cells that have broken down. As we get older, repairing cells cannot be done fast enough and we die.

This question reminds me of a quote I learned in Psychology class:
"He who is not busy being born is busy dying."
I wish I could recall who said it...sorry!
