There two distinct types of plasma, (biological & Physics-The 4th state of matter), As for Biological -Bright green chalcedony, which is sometimes found with small spots of jasper resembling blood drops
In cell biology:
Cytoplasm
Nucleoplasm
Protoplasm
Germ plasm
Also there are many diffirent devices (machines) that utilize (Physics) plasma technology :
Plasma torch/cutting -Plasma cutting is a process used to cut steel and other metals (or sometimes other materials) using a plasma torch. In this process, an inert gas (in some units, compressed air) is blown at high speed out of a nozzle; at the same time an electrical arc is formed through that gas from the nozzle to the surface being cut, turning some of that gas to plasma.
The plasma effect is a computer-based visual effect animated in real time. It uses cycles of changing colours warped in various ways to give an illusion of liquid, organic movement.

Plasma processing is a plasma-based material processing technology that aims at modifying the chemical and physical properties of a surface.

Plasma processing techniques include:

Plasma activation
Plasma modification
Plasma functionalization
Plasma polymerization
Plasma Surface Interactions
Vacuum plasmaspraying (VPS) is a technology for etching and surface modification to create porous layers with high reproductibility and for cleaning and surface engineering of plastics, rubbers and natural fibres as well as for replacing CFCs for cleaning metal components.
A plasma display panel (PDP) is an emissive flat panel display where visible light is created by phosphors excited by a plasma discharge between two flat panels of glass. The gas discharge contains no mercury (contrary to the backlights of an Active matrix LCD); an inert mixture of noble gases (neon and xenon) is used instead.

There are machines, which either remove material as in plasma etching, or deposit material as in plasma reactors

you can make a simple plasma machine with you microwave but i wont tell ya how because you can easily die from an explosion or the poisonous gas that is released :)
it sure looks cool though!
