My Shot was due 10/9. Ive had sex two times sense, both unprotected, and am not feeling so hot. I have been on the shot for over three years. If I was pregnant from my mishaps on 10/9 and 10/16...is it possible to already feel nausea? That started about a few days ago. I know you can get pregnant while on the shot and all that jazz. As the months go on w the 3 month cycle, does it get weaker each month? Cause me and my bf were pretty heavy during sept. and oct. Please, someone try to calm my nerves

they say that the shot is still effective 14 days after you are due to have one, but yes, it does start to get weaker near the end. Not in the last month, but in the last week or so. As you probably know, they don't recomend waiting 14 days, but instead give you like a 3 day lead way. but let me tell you... after being on teh shot for 2 years, I just got pregnant! They told me that was practically unheard of since I had been on the shot for so long, but it happended. Found out I was 3 months pregnant! As with nausea- that usually happens before anyone finds out they're pregnant. So, you may want to do a urine after awhile just to be safe. Otherwise, maybe you''re just getting sick. Good luck!

A friend of mine got pregnant on the Shot after taking it for 5 years straight.
You could be having symptoms, it depends.
I was nauseous if I didn't eat in the morning, and I could smell everything.
Like bad breath five feet away. Yuck.
Also, I was a heavy smoker and I put a cigarette up to my lips and almost puked cause the smoke made me sick. That was about a month pregnant though...maybe 3 weeks.
The only thing you can do to completely calm your nerves is to go to your OBGYN and get a blood test done, find out for sure.
Good Luck!

Each shot works for 12 weeks. I was on the depo shot for 3 years also and when i stopped taking it to get pregnant it took me a year to get pregnant.

You could be pregnant, anything is possible but i don't think this soon after stopping the shot. My doctor told me it could take anywheres from 4 months to a year to become pregnant.

I do not know anyone who has gotten pregnant on the shot. If you think you are pregnant go to the doctor for a blood test.

A blood test will show you are pregnant 7 days after conception.

Good luck

Well, I was on Depo for over two years, never missed a shot, and now I have an almost two year old daughter......explain that! I was on the shot when I got pregnant with her. But, after I had her, I went back on the shot for a year, and my husband and I have been trying to have another baby for almost a year now, and can't seem to get pregnant. I think it just affects everyone differently....and apparently it affects ME differently at different times!
