Can someone legally obtain passports from more than one country? If so, how is this done? Can I do this without becoming a citizen of that country?

Basically, No. A passport is, by definition, a document that states that you are a citizen of that country. Now, you can get dual nationality if one of your parents held and was a citizen of another country (in this case Ireland) and/ or if you marry someone who holds that nationality AND you go and live there. There is usually a set amount of time, measured in years, that you have to be resident before you can apply. Further, certain countries will not allow any citizen of their country to hold dual nationality so you may have to give one or the other back. This dual nationality thing should not be done lightly as, by becoming a citizen of that country you have to swear alliegance to that country (in the case of the UK to the Crown) . This can become a problem if the two countries happen to go to war (!) as Lord Haw Haw found out at the end of WW2. (He was German and Brit - kept both passports - so the Brits hung him for treason)

Tara Irish right here. Since you might have an Irish passport you'll are living in any EU nation. Since Ireland is a keep in mind of the EU. You do not want a visa and so on. You get the identical as all Europeans right here "unfastened wellness and so on. So experience Italy.

no , you know that ? unless you have lived and worked there ? or married a citizen ..........
you can tough have more than one nationality ......but all depends on which country ?
you must check on their immigration status o:)
and if you become a citizen of certain countries you must deny your own country to take another nationality ..
