Good Lord! Some of the answers people get on here! LOL

There's no indication He was doing anything other than growing in knowledge and stature (from age 12 - when His parents lost Him in Jerusalem at the Temple). This could mean any number of things, but is generally thought to mean He was educated in the Temple, as were most Jewish boys. He was probably also learning His father's trade of carpentry.

Anne Rice recently professed her faith, & has written a narrative about Jesus' childhood "Christ The Lord: Out of Egypt." It comes off as a perfectly plausable explanation.

The simplest answer is that Jesus never actually existed. He is a fictional character invented for the express purpose of carrying out a 1 year ministry in honor of the new age of Pisces at the time.

The birth stories and the story about him at age 12 at the temple were added later to brush over the origins.

because those were the years he took to get his powers under control--he was constantly smiting people on accident, if he walked through a cemetary he suddenly grew an entourage, and every time he touched water, be it a river lake, well or stream, it turned into 90proof--and he couldn't even bathe, because every time he tried to get IN the water he just walked across it's surface--it was a rough time for him, and not very pretty--didn't fit in to the whole messiah/savior thing so they left it out

Oh, but it does!

Luk 2:51 And he went down with them and came to Nazareth and was subject to them. And his mother kept all these words in her heart.
Luk 2:52 And Jesus advanced in wisdom and age and grace with God and men.

Since most were unaware in those years, he was the son of God - no one wrote down what he did. Most of what you read happened after his first miracle (water to wine)

Gospel means (good) News right?

Interesting to think that God would want Jesus to have a normal, free-from-the-media childhood huh? Maybe?
