I'm blonde, so this isn't bitterness, just curiousity. What's so great about blondes? My boyfriend has some sort of fetish or something, because everyone he's ever dated (besides this one girl, but she was kind of "loose"). I'm just wondering what's going on...

It has something to do with an idol really. I mean Hollywood has idolized blonde women for years and promoted them as easy, sexy and fun. It's an image they are attracted to and sadly - an attraction to an image doesn't last. It most certainly didn't for Marilyn Monroe - poor girl - she wasn't even naturally blonde - the whole Hollywood thing is what destroyed her as a person and men are so superficial in their thinking that - the fact at the end of her life she was empty and lonely and that she was found dead - probably a drug overdose - escapes their minds. Men from other countries don't have this idol if they haven't been exposed to what Hollywood promotes. I mean okay - there's that sicko Madonna too - now she's a pathetic excuse for an attractive woman. I mean a man can have a healthy attraction for blonde hair - that is one thing - but this whole fettish and not giving women a chance based on who they are rather than the color of their hair is just nonsense. It generally takes men longer - sometimes a lifetime to figure out that what is in the heart is more valuable than what you've got on your head or anywhere else on your body!

I guess they grow up seeing "blondes" portrayed as the fun easygoing 'ditzy' type!!
But when they gro up they find that most of the blondes they know r either fakes or really way too intelligent for them!!
Either way its not all guys that go for blondes!!
My guy has a thing for asians chicks yet is with me and we have 2 kids!!
It just a fantasy!!

blondes have more fun or so they say --- Hollywood has built up the myth of the dumb sexy blonde --- yet i believe that blondes are as intelligent as every other lady --- some choose to project an image of helplessness of smoldering sexuality and that is supposed to make the guys go wild
i dont care about hair colour -- my lady has black hair and is fabulous and i have never dated a blonde

Not to be mean, but you're going to have all the blond females look at this and get over confident. I have to admit there are alot of blond bombshells, but there are alot of other hair colors that are just as sexy. Maybe even sexier. My hair is blueblack right now naturally dark brown.

i prefer brunettes. in fact i try to avoid blondes. generally i don't find them attractive. however there are a few blondes i've thought were hot. it's not really about hair color. i've liked some redheads too.

men as a whole seem to be attracted to women with something different about them . Blondes as are a minority . It extends past hair color though . Caew in point Anna Jolli has almost inhumanly large lips . Ask any man and he'll tell you shes beautiful . That is just one example

It's all the "not real" blondes who ruin it for the rest lol, the girls who dye their hair blond because they think it's awesome seem to be "easy" and lets face it guys like that. =P

That isn't true. My bf is blonde, and I'm brunette. And also, all my guy-friends love brunettes, blondes, redheads, and blacks. So, it really all depends on the guy himself.

Real blondes are rare so that's one reason.I prefer blondes myself and I'm not sure why other then the cloor is cool and different then mine.
