Isn't this an update of the old Bracero program in CA from the late 50s and early 60s

We already have a perfectly good guest worker program on the books ... which involves temporary work, mainly in the ag sector, after which the guest worker goes home again ... I see no reason to change that scheme, or come up with any ridiculous "comprehensive solutions leading to citizenship" ... if people want to come here to work for a few weeks or months in an orderly fashion, and then go back home again, that's perfectly fine with me .. no changes necessary ....

We have a guest worker program, that needs to be filled by migrants workers. Those government workers are only dusting off those applications because they are coming here illegally. Those illegal aliens are missing the step to becoming respected citizens. My thoughts, Happy Birthday.

There are already laws to regulate the amount of immigrants that are aloud to come in and work. How about the government enforce those laws first.

It is terrible. There is no 'temporary' aspect to it, despite the name. It is mass increase in immigration of poor people who can't fund their own schooling and services. It will further ruin our schools and health care.
