I just went through this, this week,we were not getting along for a week,she had no give a F" that I was not going to be staying with her(no contact),a week later a lady wanted a piece of me,I let her,The girl I was with,acts as if I cheated in a relationship?I would never have let it happen if I thought there would have been a back together chance,So,You have to really know where the other party is in this one!!! I don't have to worry about it anymore,and My hart is ripped out,This can only be answeared by the person in it!!!

I know a lot of people that have dated right away to get over the other, but I don't feel you can connect with someone under those circumstances. (not in a relationship sense)
There's nothing wrong with dating right away even if your not ready for a relationship. Just be honest from the get go. A lot of people are open to just dating with no strings attached.
Have fun and do what you have to for yourself. Just be honest and don't intentionally hurt anyone along the way.

depends on how long your recent relationship lasted... if it was like 3 months, then i'd start looking right away -- it's easy to get over a fling like that... but 3 years might have a different effect on you, you'll start dating people that have the opposite traits of your recent breakup and not neccessarily the traits you are most attracted to... i would take the opportunity to write down exactly what you're looking for in a person and then focus on going after that... whatever you focus on you'll get

about a month to see if you have got the person you broke up with out of your system.because you don't want to start a new relationship with someone else and you go back to the other person. that will break the new person heart.
