Christianity is a paradigm. Buddhism is a paradigm. Judiasm is a paradigm, and on and on. Each religion, each philosophy, is its own idealogy. How can one contain more "truth" than another? Please try to keep Jesus freaking to a minimum here when it comes to scripture postings. Being outside of your idealogy, I would like some non pseudo jargon speak as an answer. Bonus points if you can tell me how you detemine God is speaking to you (rather than you;re mind fixating on a "good" idea). Thanks!

“I do not pretend to be able to prove that there is no god. I equally cannot prove that Satan is a fiction. The Christian god may exist; so may the gods of Olympus, or of ancient Egypt, or of Babylon. But no one of these hypotheses is more probable than any other: they lie outside the region of even probable knowledge, and therefore there is no reason to consider any of them.”

If Christianity is a paradigm how can it be that it is the only FAITH which tells us about our break with the divine? Other FAITHS tell us how powerful WE are. Man is the only living thing that does not live in harmony with the environment. We destroy the environment that sustains our life. Think on that and understand Christianity is REAL. Man's logic is an illusion. Results speak louder than words and intentions. Man's results are horrible. No one can deny this. God told us this as soon as we were bold enough to try to go it alone and turn our backs on our loving creator. And what are the real world results of the one creature who thinks it doesn't need God? Just look at man's problems. This should be more obvious to deep thinking honest people.

God speaks to people, and not just Christians, every single day. The problem is we are waiting for Him to just drop down out of the sky and speak in a loud booming voice. Even if that were to happen don't you think we could think of a way to explain that away? Of course we could! Ever heard a little voice inside you most refer to as conscience? Ever thought that may be God trying to get your attention? Ever had an intuition? Ever thought that may be God trying to guide you in the right direction or save you from peril? What is so difficult about understading this? Have we all sacrificed our common sense in the name of higher intelligence?
Why do you have to believe that faith is so complicated? Seek for yourself and you shall find but probably not in this forum.

If more than one religion claims exclusive truth and they contradict each other then it is clear that they are not all true.
Jesus claimed to be the only way to the Father which was extremely exclusive - because of my faith in Christ I cannot accept any other religion that claims to have a way to God because of this.
I do not hear Gods voice all the time but have had experiences with this. The most definite times are when I have been told knowledge that was outside of myself and something I did not know and was unfamiliar with. It was in fact the name of a complete stranger at one time. This is what proved to me it was God and not my mind working overtime.

I personally believe in Jesus.
However, I believe that all organized religion has truths and has errors, because man was involved, it cant be perfect, no matter how much we would like to think it is.
I know God is speaking to me, when I pray for something, and I get an answer, and I obey, and good comes from it.
One time, God told me to tell someone, "You should pray, God hears you." And this person wept. They had been thinking God forgot about them. Coincidence? Perhaps.

Ok, I'm Muslim, and although there are Muslims who think that they are better than everybody, I'm not one of them.
In the Qur'an, it says that "People of the Book," title for Jews and Christians, who do good deeds will go to the same heaven that good Muslims will go to.
I don't think of my religiong as "better" than others.
Now, I don't think that God speaks to me, but I think that God exists because when I was really young, I was bullied at school, and back then I prayed for God to help me. Now that he has, I help others, just as God tells us humans to do. I was indirectly helped by God. Someone did a good act, because of God, and that good act saved me.
Just to add, I don't believe that "wars are fought over religion" or that "people are killed over religion." People just do what they please, and then try to look up quotes justifying the wrongs that they committed. Of course, good people admit their wrongs, and try not to repeat them.
That's the major difference between good and bad people.

Christianity is not a paradigm. If you disbelieve that Jesus is divine, it is natural that you would believe Christianity to be paradigmatic. But if you believe him to be the begotten Son of God, there is no paradigm whatsoever.

You seem pretty angry. Maybe you should pray and ask God to help you accept His son Jesus as your savior. Maybe you will find some joy in life.
