I read the Bible when I was a Buddhist at the age of 21, through a correspondence course announced on the newspapers.
I became a Baha'i at the age of 24, after having read the book entitled "Baha'u'llah and the New Era" by Doctor J.E. Esslemont. Now, at the age of 70, I am still an ignorant believer in the Baha'i Faith and keep on reading the Bible very often along with the Holy Books of other revelative Religions.

I began studying the bible when I started watching Joyce Meyer on TV. I watched her for quite a long time, and bought alot of her tapes. They really ministered to me. Truthfully, I felt at some point that her ministry was moving into the "name it and claim it" realm, and I lost interest. But I began going to a good bible teaching church, a friend took me. That is where I got into a bible study, and it's been ten years. My life has completely transformed through the power and wisdom of God's word. I think that was the best thing that ever happened to me; the day I walked into Calvary Chapel.

I was 15 years old when I was first introduced to a bible. I did not grow up in a religious family by any means and there was not a single bible in our house, but my bestfriend, Teresa was a Christian and introduced me to the bible. Of course God introduced himself to my life LONG before then, but what a glorious day when a friend showed me his written word. She ended up giving me a bible of my own before she moved out of state.

I was six years old and in first grade in a Christian school. We had a Bible study hour, which was part of the school curriculum. I studied the Bible every year from first on up to eighth grade. My mum was very good about telling me Bible stories when I was two years old.

I was 26 years old. When I was saved. Who introduced it to me simply was God. No one in particular introduced me, just His leading to what I needed (and still need) to study. :)

I was 27. A good friend talked me into going to a Bible study. Not at church but to some ones home. The man (Fred) helped me to understand, and fast, that I was not going down the right road, and that neither is this world. He helped me understand prophecy over time, and how it correlates with world events. i started questioning everything I was taught about in life and about life. I came to understand that Jesus died for us, so we could be saved. then i was baptized in his name.

I had been praying to God, even though i wasn't sure about who he was, to help me. Before all the above. I surrendered my will to him. Things started happening to me. It was like God put the right people in my life to help me understand. I had to practically destroy my own life, before I asked God for help. Because I was broken, "I let go, and let God"as they say. Before all this, I used to think about suicide alot.

Even my obsession to drink and party was taken away from me. something not A.A. itself could do, or counselors, or any person that loved me or that I loved. Not any medication, not anything had helped me. Just handing my will to God, saved me from myself. As long as i stay close to God, in my heart and mind, I do well in life. That was 5 years ago.

My hope is in God. Not mankind. But I believe God will work through us to help eachother. If we let him, and stay sincere.

Four years of age. My mom.

I'm still using the exact same Bible, fifty years later.
