I took my 5 weeks old daughter for Hept. B shot today but doctor told me to wait when she's two months. She will mix all immunization shots into 1 shot, which about 3 shots. Hept.B and the other two. Have you ever heard about this?
thank you

That is a bad idea. If she has a reaction you will not know which shot it is to. That can be deadly. Shots should be administered one at a time (if at all) and the child carefully watched for adverse reactions. Find a new doctor!

Also, is your baby sexually active, or an IV drug user? Then she is not at risk for hepatitis B. It is transfered through blood and semen. That shot can wait. Please do some more research!

Doctors are not gods. They can and do things that are dangerous sometimes. It is not okay!

Yes, my son just turned a year, and he had several shots that were all mixed into 1. For his 1 year shots, there were 4 seperate shots and they said it was really like 8 different ones. It's okay, otherwise they wouldn't do that. No worries!

Of course there are risks with shots, but the risks of not having the shot are MUCH greater. Even if they were given one at a time as the lady below me said, they would have 8 shots in a row. They won't give you one shot at a time and wait 10 weeks, you get them all at once. So, they will also give you or should give you instructions on what to look for- different reactions such as fevers, rashes, etc. The hep B- we decided to get it- at birth even, only because the risk of not having it and waiting until much later, could be much more harmful. I wouldn't listen to her in all honesty. This is how most doctors give shots now days.
