They had a meeting set up, but jesus forgot to charge his PDA, and, well, the rest is history.
Paul was stood up at Denny's, and never forgave him.

Well 70% of the New Testament maybe. You're forgetting how much of the Bible was written before either Jesus or Paul was even born. Paul did meet Jesus on the road to Damascus but that was after the resurrection, not during Jesus's life. Aopparently, it was a very eventful trip.

Paul did not write 70% of the Bible. Paul wrote some of the books found in the New Testament, but no where close to even 70% of that.

Paul was a roman soldier who converted to Christianity after Jesus' crucifixion.

LOL Paul did not write 70% of the Bible. He wrote a lot of the New Testament though. No he never met Jesus in life but he did meet Jesus is spirit. Paul was a killer of Christians and one day he was struck blind and the spirit of Christ came upon him and asked him why he was persecuting him. Paul who was named Saul at the time, changed everything he had believed in. He went from persecutor to persecuted and dedicated his life to spreading the gospel and died as a martyr for the Christ. He was welcomed within the circle of the original disciples. He and Peter were the two major founders of the church. Peter to Jews and Paul to Gentiles.

Jesus spoke to Paul when Paul was on the road to Damascus. Remember that Paul lived after Jesus had been crucified and had ascended to heaven. So yes, Paul did in a way "meet" Him. By the way, Paul used to be Saul, a persecuter of Christians. If you sit down and read his books that became much of the new testament, that is what will blow you away...this man who used to seek the death of believers in Jesus became probably the most passionate proclaimer of the gospel message in that time.

Paul did meet Jesus on the road to Damascus. This was after Jesus died in the flesh, though.

NB: Paul did not write 70% of the Bible.

Paul started persecuting the Christians after the resurrection, and he realized that the Christians were advocating a new faith. Then on the road to Damascus, he saw a bright light and a voice said "Saul, why are you persecuting me?" Paul said "Who are you, Lord?" and the voice said "Jesus." So Paul didn't meet the coporeal Jesus, just heard his voice.
He couldn't see afterward and people led him to a city, where God called Ananias to lay his hands on him. God revealed to Paul then that Paul was God's chosen instrument to the Gentiles.

p.s. 70% of the New Testament, maybe. Not 70% of the whole Bible.

Paul met Jesus at the Damascus Road Conversion. Subsequently Paul has Spiritual Visions which influenced his writings, the NT epistles. But it must also be said that Paul was a scholar of the OT writings at the highest academic level. Gamaliel was one of his instructors. Also he mentions that he was a Pharisee. Big deal for Jews of that time...

Jesus already been crucified and ascended into Heaven before Paul was converted from Saul of Tarsus.

Paul only wrote New Testament books most of which were letters to early churches in towns such as Corinth (that letter is the majority of the contents of the book of Corinthians)

He was divinely inspired to write the books he wrote as were all the authors.

I believe only the books written by the disciples are books written by men who actually met Jesus.

I don't even go to church I can't believe I remeber all that from sunday school back in the day. My grandma would be so proud...ha ha!

Paul never met Jesus prior to the crucifixion, but he did meet Him on the road to Damascus. It was the turning point in Paul's life. Before He met Jesus, He was one of the Pharisee's hit men, running around persecuting, torturing and killing Christians.

a) Jesus never existed
b) Paul actually wrote in the 2nd century rather than the first
c) Paul wrote before 'jesus' came onto the scene.

There are many other possible answers, but you are correct that Paul himself explicitly states his witness comes from a vision he had and from the Logos method of reading between the lines of ancient Jewish scriptures. Not only did Paul never meet Jesus, he knew almost nothing about him. This is the entire extent of Paul's knowledge of Jesus:

Jesus is “born of a woman, born under the law” (Gal 4:4); as the seed of Abraham (Gal 3:16) and a descendent of David (Rom 1:4; cf. 2 Tim 2:8), [16] he belongs to the people of Israel (Rom 9:3f.; 2 Cor 11:22; Phil 3:5; cf. Acts 22:3); [17] he suffered (Rom 8:17; cf. 2 Tim 2:11), he died on the cross (Rom 6:6; Gal 5:24; 6:14; Col 2:12), he was buried (Rom 6:4) and resurrected (Rom 4:24f.; 6:4, 9; 7:4; 8:11; 10:9; 1 Cor 6:14; 15:4ff.; etc.).
