If you are not certain of what you are doing , you better don't. Study first before making the choice. Multiple faith is the only sin God will never forgive. God has no son , if not all prophets will
be God's sons. Let your heart open wide and find the truth yourself.

You got it right the third try-you confess your sins and accept Jesus as your personal savior. This requires you to have faith and truly believe that Jesus is the son of God and only through Him can your soul be saved. This acceptance and faith allows you to change noticeably in your behavior and attitudes. You will discover what love truly is once you accept the gift of Gods love. For God so loved us that He gave his only begotten Son that we may have life everlasting. Believe it-it is true.

First by believing that God is, that He made provision for relationship with sinful man through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ. By believing that Christ was crucified, that He suffered and died to atone for our sins, that He rose from the dead and ascended to heaven, to be seated on the Throne in heaven.

Second, by turning from sin and submitting to God's will. He sent His Spirit to guide us through all things. When you feel bad about your behavior which is out of line with God's will, this is the conviction of the Holy Spirit. You can receive direction from the Holy Spirit as well.

Third, by obeying God's commandments. This isn't to earn your way into heaven, but as Jesus said, "If you love Me, you will do what I ask of you."

When you accept the gift God has provided for us in Jesus' sacrifice, this is what happens. You exchange your sin identity for His righteous identity. He shares with you His wealth when you are in agreement with Him how to use it. He is sworn to protect you and you Him (His reputation)

So it boils down to this; Confess your sins to Him. That is, agree with Him about what is wrong and turn from your wrong behavior. Agree to obey Him. That is, make Him your Lord. And lastly, accept that there is nothing you can do to earn your salvation, only His work on the cross pays the sin debt you have created by doing wrong in the eyes of God.

Once you have done this, begin to study the Bible. I recommend starting in Romans, then go through the gospels; Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Also, find a church to fellowship with other believers. They can guide you and help you, and you can contribute to the community of fellowship. Make sure that the church you choose is a Bible believing church. Some have decided to accept only parts of the Bible and others have decided to change the Bible to fit their beliefs rather than choosing to believe what the writers wrote.

God bless you.

There are many good interpretations from the original texts into English. I study the New American Standard Updated, but I keep others to verify ther interpretations like the New King James, New International Version, etc.,

You dont really "become" christian. Christian means "Christ like" so obviously believeing in Jesus Christ as your lord and saviour, that he died for your sins and the only way to get to heaven is through him are essential to anyone who claims they are christians. Now some if not all christians feel that no matter what you do following the commandment and not sinning wont get you into heaven. But the only way to get into heaven is to sincerely believe that jesus is the son of god and he died for your sins and you accept him as your saviour

Is Repentance Necessary for Salvation?

It is true that there are numerous Bible verses that speak of the promise of salvation, with no mention of repentance. These merely say to "believe" on Jesus Christ and you shall be saved (Acts 16:31; Romans 10:9). However, the Bible makes it clear that God is holy and man is sinful, and that sin makes a separation between the two (Isaiah 59:1,2). Without repentance from sin, wicked men cannot have fellowship with a holy God. We are dead in our trespasses and sins (Ephesians 2:1) and until we forsake them through repentance, we cannot be made alive in Christ.

The Scriptures speak of "repentance unto life" (Acts 11:18). We turn from sin to the Savior. This is why Paul preached "repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ" (Acts 20:21). The first public word Jesus preached was "repent" (Matthew 4:17). John the Baptist began his ministry the same way (Matthew 3:2). Jesus told His hearers that without repentance, they would perish (Luke 13:3).

If belief is all that is necessary for salvation, then the logical conclusion is that one need never repent. However, the Bible tells us that a false convert "believes" and yet is not saved (Luke 8:13); he remains a "worker of iniquity." Look at the warning of Scripture: "If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth" (1 John 1:6). The Scriptures also say, "He that covers his sins shall not prosper, but whoso confesses and forsakes them [repentance] shall have mercy" (Proverbs 28:13). Jesus said that there was joy in heaven over one sinner who "repents" (Luke 15:10). If there is no repentance, there is no joy because there is no salvation.

When Peter preached on the Day of Pentecost, he commanded his hearers to repent "for the remission of sins" (Acts 2:38). Without repentance, there is no remission of sins; we are still under His wrath. Peter further said, "Repent . . . and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out" (Acts 3:19). We cannot be "converted" unless we repent. God Himself "commands all men everywhere [leaving no exceptions] to repent" (Acts 17:30). Peter said a similar thing at Pentecost: "Repent, and be baptized every one of you" (Acts 2:38).

If repentance wasn’t necessary for salvation, why then did Jesus command that repentance be preached to all nations (Luke 24:47)? With so many Scriptures speaking of the necessity of repentance for salvation, one can only suspect that those who preach salvation without repentance are strangers to repentance themselves, and thus strangers to true conversion.

To become a Christian you must do what the Bible says in Romans 10:9,10 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." All you have to do is believe, my friend. Do it today.

Member of a church?
If you are on a spiritual path, don't convert as organised religions are nothing more than public limited companies.
The aim of every religion is to enhance its numerical strength and wealth.
