it isn't a "hispanic" issue. many middle and lower class people are without health insurance and yes it all boils down to who can pay for it.

caquse all the whites are on medical and sucking up all the government funds so there none left for the mexicans, just kidding, dude that was a stereotypical question that falsely assumes what you ask is true when there are many uninsured people of every race due to some of the factors you cited, lets not get racial here , take a sociology class if you do not believe me, really whites are the biggest consumers of the government tit, all the single unwed moms the majority of them are white women ,ask any sociologist or college professor they will confirm this fact

why do many people in this country have the same dillema. I just now got health insurance after almost 3 years of not having it because when i got laid off from my teaching job. every job i got after that was either no benefits. or they laid me off again in June, because they hired people from college that just graduated and i could not go to college at the time because my son has cp. oh and just to let you know. i am a professional African American Female who raised a daughter who is a medical technician, with no babies, not on drugs, getting ready to buy a house, a responsible young lady. and i am still taking excellent care of my son with cp who lives with me, not in an institution.

I really don't think this problem is a racial one. There are many people, all races that do not have insurance, it has to do with the employers not wanting to give this benefit to their employees, it does cost alot to have this benefit so employers prefer not to offer this to them. If you pay for your own insurance it cost double because the company sells directly to you. If you choose and HMO they really don't cover anything and you come out paying for the services yourself.

for the same reason that many non-Hispanics don't have health insurance. Availability.
