anyone know a french movie that you can watch with english subtitle?

If you're trying to learn French, watch one without subtitles. If you read the subtitles in English, your mind doesn't need to pay attention to the French at all and you won't learn much. If you try to understand the French, even if you don't understand everything, you'll learn more. You can always watch it again and see how much more you can understand on the second try.

Best would be le grand bleu (the big blue)
DIVA - black comedy
Le grand bleu - diving, great camera work and acting
Les amants de pont neuf - romance for the homeless, social commentary
Delicatessant - futuristic cannaballism - black comedy
Amelie de Montmatre - comedy about a quirky woman
Trois Couleurs - blanc, rouge, bleu - nice trilogy, great characters.
la maitresse - just weird
Samouraï, Le (1967) - very cool character
Jean de Flourette & Manon des Sources - two parter, nice but sad story
Le Confessioniel - based on a hitchcock movie
Taxi 1,2 & 3 - modern and very funny
Metro with Christopher Lambert - looks at the underside of parisien life

Amelie or delicatessen. Amelie is a romantic comedy, very cute movie with a great soundtrack. Delicatessen, black comedy!
