can someone be alergic to aspartame?
I can drink pop but whenever I try a sip of diet coke my stomach gets queasy. I can not finish a whole can of diet pop, I'm afraid I'd vomit if I did. I've also tried diet iced tea and this is the same. Diet pop & iced tea contain aspartame. Recently I've tried
"Iced tea 0" that is made with splenda (has no sugar or aspartame). I feel fine after drinking this.
could I be allergic to aspartame?
(do you have any sources of others allergic to it)?

I am allergic to nutrasweet (aspartame), ACE K and splenda. I get very ill ( headaches, asthma attacks, vomitting) if i consume any sweetener other than saccharine. Which sucks for me, being a diabetic. I'd say you were at the least sensitive if not allergic and try to avoid nutrasweet. Be aware many products do not have the nutrasweet symbol on them but they still contain nutrasweet. Be sure and read labels! good luck!

I am not sure what aspartme is made of but I know that Splenda is a chlorine based product and can cause stomach problems. I experience this myself and after discontinuing the use of it , it ceased. Alot of products today contain these including sodas, ice crease, candies etc. Read the package carefully.

you will have to no longer have whatever with aspartame, my boyfriend looses feeling in his extremities, and will lose sight for a short while, your subsequent allergy to it would be worse than your final one
