The benefits of La Mer over any other good moisturizer is having a pricey, status symbol jar to show off. It is a decent moisturizer, not an excellent one, and not worth what she paid.

It is a good product, no doubting that. Otherwise places like Saks Fifth Avenue would not carry it. It looks to be a great prestige product, just one you will pay the price for in your wallet. If your mother continues to get it, then you have little to be concerned about it if you use it and find it works for you. But if she does not, it comes down to the fact...would you be able to afford it on a consistent basis? If you like prestige brands, but not the price...email me. I can direct you to a product that can offer you the best of both worlds...a product that works, is amdist the top 5 prestige products out there today, but easy on the wallet.

It's not really good for oily skin. It's more of thick texture and it's good for dry skin and anti-aging. But it's really of good quality, you might wanna just try a tiny bit when you feel dry on your skin in winter.
