In most areas, you register thru the Registrar of Voters or the Elections Department in the County you live in. Some states have enacted "Motor Voter Laws" which will allow you to registar at you local Motor Vehicles Department also. How do you register, you fill out a card, pick a party or none of the above, sign it and turn it in. Now for where I live (Nevada), your too late to register for the General Elections on 11/7, but some states will let you register that day. Id venture to say most, if not all, registrars will be on the web with all the info you need including polling places, registering, and important dates.

many diffrent ways to register. can go to the post office, county clerks office. department of public saftey(state police office) or look around town this time of the ytear you will find many special places set up esp at grocery stores to help you register. you might even be ableo to register oinline if your state allows that
