All my relations: four-, two-, finned- and non-legged ones are my faith. We are all connected together in one, huge web going back to the beginning and forward into infinity. Whatever happens today creates a reaction within separate threads, causing vibrations and changes within the web. We are all "animals." We all learn from each other, we all depend on each other, we all harm each other. There is no separation, hierachy, caste, superior/inferior, better/worse, cognitive/non-cognitive. We are just here.
Because of the way I believe, my faith is in this web, or connection, between beings. The web's main goal is to exist. It will always change to survive external forces. All beings are a perfect fit for the niche they currently find themselves. This adaptation will continue forever. We are alive. Anything that occurs counter to this fundamental law will not last and will eventually destroy itself. This is what I define as "sin."
For me, there is no "God." There is only this web, this connection between all things, all creatures.
All my relations; I offer respect to honor your existence along with mine.
I offer respect to honor you that have given your life so that I may continue mine.
I offer hope to go through life with peace and spirit; to walk in beauty.
That is what I think being atheist/agnostic is all about.

Agnostics avoid a decision by sitting on the fence so to speak.

Atheists have decided and are not afraid of the real consequences.

Yes you might bring back the Inquisition and start to torture us and burn us at the stake.

We might even have to hide again.

But our ancestors fled England and Europe to be free of you!

Now we are relatively safe from your persecution and will do everything we can to bring your religion down.
We will never surrender.
Never surrender the Freedoms we fought for In Europe and later here.
To those who want to turn the World back into a Theocracy.
You will be defeated.
Your leaders are corrupt.
Your policy is Evil.
We will fight you with words at first.
More if we must.

You will never be burning witches and Heretics again.
Ever.
And you can tell your bloodthirsty God that from the Human Race.

We Are the Moral Atheist Conspiracy, Committed to the spread Of Rationality and Sanity.

Your God Is Fake !!!!
Fear us for We Threaten you with The Real World.
Look Upon the Universe and Tremble for It is Infinite,
but it is all that there is,
no Extras,
no Heaven,
no Hell.

NO GOD(s)

OK my fingers are tired now, I do hope you get the point.

There is no god anything. You see education, self reliance and humanity as a religion? It it is, that would be one world wide tolerant religion. I do not need a god for my life, I am self reliant.
Since you do, you must be dependent on him.

Education, self reliance and humanity are knowable concepts though abstract terms. They are verifiable and do not require faith. Everyone has a concept of how humans ought to operate, in that all humans are the same. Athiests base their concept on the knowable, provable, and factual. Provable, defineable things do not require faith.

I believe that when people work together using reason and the scientific method that we can learn a great deal more about nature than is currently known.

Faith is belief in the absence of evidence. There is plenty of evidence that the above is true. For questions where there is no evidence, I prefer to remain open minded, and skeptical of all explanations that aren't based in evidence.

Boopie is right. We look at it from a different angle.

Why are we here? We don't know. But we don't believe anyone else knows either.

What happens after we die. We don't know that either. Maybe a dirt nap, but nobody really knows for sure.

If we die and there really is a god or gods or whatever, we'll just have to lay it out for him to play it out when we get there

those such as you who do no longer decide to hearken to, proceed on on your ignorant assumptions. So then faith cometh by way of listening to, and listening to by way of the word of God. regardless of being advised again and again what refutes you, yet you proceed on on your wilful lack of information. Does that no longer make you a prejudiced individual who's illiberal of any critiques differing from his own? for sure you have a malignant reason.

Sounds more like Humanism.

Atheism states there is no God, it's believers can range from the best to the worst in human character. It has no inherent moral stance in and of itself.

just try taking the fantasy word "God" out of your language and then learn all over again how to think anew I would agree up to the point of your usage of the word god the metaphor is vastly overused and seldom articlulated in a worthwhile sense.there begins the confusion.
" the fault lies not in the stars but in ourselves...."

my faith is in human nature, and the laws of biology, chemistry and physics. i know where i stand and let my convitions guide my behavior. i am not afraid of life, or of death, and so i need no god to feel safe. i know whatever happens to me in life, i will try my best to survive, and not waste my time waiting to be rescued, looking for answers where there is nothing but a few layers of atmosphere. i believe in action and reaction, and doing my best to respect and help other people. i also believe in demanding respect for myself, and my beliefs.

i am not my own god, but neither do i need one to feel whole. i am complete as i am.
