get yourself a good alarm, have good locks on all the doors and take any other precautions you think may help you sleep better

Is this a rational fear or do you live in an area with a high crime rate or in a home that would be easily accessible to someone wanting to break in? If this is a rational fear then you must take the necessary steps to remedy the problem. Get an alarm system, install deadbolts or move to a better area. If it's an irrational fear you need to pray to God and ask Him to remove it from your life. God allows us to feel fear for a reason. If there is no valid reason you are wasting your life and wasting your time. God can help you. Ask Him to help you.

You can make sure that you always lock your windows and doors. If your windows don't have locks on them, have steel rods cut into lengths to put between the window and the window frame, so getting in from the outside is impossible. It might help you to keep a light on -- and to play some music. Sometimes our mind starts to wander when we are home alone in the complete silence. Do you have a cell phone? Sleep with your cell phone. You aren't going to need it - but you will feel better, knowing that you can call someone if you are feeling insecure.

If these things don't help, you can consult with a counselor, who can help you determine why you are so afraid. It's not an uncommon fear - so don't feel strange about talking to a professional about your fear.

Good luck - you will be fine!

Just make sure your doors are locked or whatever. If you can afford an alarm system, then get one. Maybe you should get a dog. If somebody breaks in your house, they will most likely not harm you, just take things from your house which can be replaced. Just dont worry about them type of things, you cant really control what happens

You need to install deadbolt locks and you can have an inside lock you can use, to double bolt the door. There are so many things available to make you feel more secure. You can have a camera installed out side your door so you can see who is out there, this camera comes weatherproof with night vision and sells for $59.95 at Walmart. Good Luck.

do you live in the hood or what. why have a fear about something that may never happen. the best method of not having to worry is a studly man like myself.. j/k why not get a security system. most are priced to afford now.

Just make yourself relax enought to sleep. Keep your cell phone
near one hand, incase the phone line gets cut. Install a security camera above the door or somewhere. it could be a mini one that's inside something, so it could even be ontop of the tv.

do u live in a bad area? if so, buy some good locks, and if you are really worried then get a security system.. Otherwise.. just try not to think about it.. A pet helps if you live alone..

goodluck..
