Set yourself some goals. Make them ambitious, but achivable. Write them down and stick to them. Exercise helps your mental energy, too.

I use coffee to get me started in the morning and tea before bed time. You may choose differently, of course, but you probably need the sleep.

Some will probably tell you to take pep pills. What I'll say is that often times people are depressed without actually realizing it. Depression can take many forms. You don't have to necessarily feel sad or sorrowful. Fatigue is often a sign of depression, so is losing interest in activities you formerly enjoyed, losing your appetite, getting reclusive and not wanting to socialize, or in your case, being poorly motivated.

I would suggest counseling for you to find out what events in your life have caused your fatigue, insomnia, and lack of get up and go. It's probably something so deep seated that you aren't aware of it yourself. Maybe you just need to turn your thoughts to others and not be so self-involved. Get some hobbies, interests, new friends, activities. If you have things to look forward to, your attitude and physical energy might just return. If these measures don't help, then see a counselor or psychologist to get to the root of your problem. Good luck!

Don't stop at Starbucks at the end of the day, stop by in the morning. You'll look forward to the trip and the caffine is better when starting your day but keeps you awake at night. Try a cup of Tension Tammer Tea or Sleepy Time about an hour before bed time. Reading can make you tired and answering these questions at yahoo can ware you out.

Give yourself a reason not to let something or someone down. Know that you are all that defines wether or not you will make an important change in your destiny, not wether or not you had it rough. Ask yourself why would you really want to decay when you know that you can be more, be something greaT. Every day you decide wether or not you move from your perch on the bed and do something that really matters, know that your mind is more powerful than your body.

You know one thing I notice that makes a huge difference with me is what I eat, and if I exercise. It makes all the difference in the world how I feel. I'm tired, lethargic and not at all in the mood to do anything if I don't eat right and if I don't exercise. When you have energy, you feel more like doing things.

Some things that work for me.
- shower (cooler water if necessary)
- take a walk (cooler weather helps)
- listen to upbeat music
- stepping outside to enjoy the fresh air
- short breaks from work to get to get mentally re-energized
- driving with the window at least part way open to get some fresh air

You may want to do research on the Internet and/or talk to doc to make sure there aren't health issues involved. (i.e. stress, sleep apnea, blood pressure issues, etc.)

I think about the good things and how God has blessed me. Although things may not be perfect, we are fed heathy, in our right minds, sheltered, safe, loved, etc.... That is a blessing. Some people do not have the basics.

You sound serious. lf so you need to talk to the Lord about this.

"Don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive, and go do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive."
