What i mean is where are our rights as citizens. If they can do it why cant we? How can we fight this unfair discrimitation against BC Drivers? Lets all drive to Alberta, get a mail box address and insure our cars there and drive back. U see how ICBC will be nice to us in no time.

You can't insure a vehicle to a mailbox address, and even if you could, the insurance would be invalid. Have you seen what some drivers in Alberta are paying? Get a couple of tickets on your record, especially if you are under 21, and your liability alone can cost you over $1,000, not a dime of insurance on your car. You want that freedom? Move to Alberta, then you can insure with whoever you want, just make sure you are married, over 25, and have a clean driving record. And no, private insurance is not available in BC, not for the basic insurance, contrary to what one poster said, only for extension coverages.

You're confused, Roger. Private auto insurance IS available in British Columbia. Most people prefer to use ICBC, however.

It's the government you BC people keep electing. You can get this changed if you really want to. Start writing your MLA. Start letting them know what you think. The more people who talk the more things can change.
