I've never been there but I just wanted to tell you and your husband Thank You for your service and sacrifice. You mean so much to me and my entire family. I pray for you everyday although I don't even know your name. BTW, I have been to Kansas and generally speaking they are very kind, laid back and friendly people. I hope you find gobs of new friends! God Bless You!!!!

I have about 9 friends at Ft Riley & 8 like it, one can not get used to the "boredom" of Kansas. It is what you make of it. My son &
daughter in law are at Fort Drum & love it. My daughter In Law has made tons of friends. My son stays busy as an Officier. They have play groups for my granddaughter, she joined a gym with 4 of her friends, they have some friends over or go to a friends for dinner & movies every weekend.
They meet in yards & chat every afternoon. They are even looking for to snows - they ski & love the snow.

My husband & I are going in 10 days & their friends have planned a dinner to meet us. They sound very friendly to me.

I told my daughter by marriage you must find ways to meet others - join clubs, go to gyms, set up dinners at your house & then dinner at their house, play groups - anyway to break the ice - Good Luck, I hope you like Ft Riley.
