This is completely normal. My hairdresser says it's normal to lose 100 strands a day-- your hair is constantly growing and shedding-- you probably notice it more because your hair is longer, right? I bet if you tried to count it, the number of strands you lose a day is less than 100. If it's coming out in HUGE clumps, go see the doctor.

I used to think this too, but my problem was mostly normal. It's normal to lose hair, but if you're losing a lot it could be due to not eating right. I was losing more hair than is normal, which is 100 strands a day, and it was because I wasn't getting the right nutrients. If you're really worried, start taking a multivitamin and making sure you eat breakfast. Also if you use hot tools like a straightner or curler every day it makes your hair oh so dry. Try to not use them so much and use a hair moisturizer every day.

Its normal to lose about 100 strands of hair each day. And if you aren't washing your hair everyday all those hairs you see when you comb it after you get out of the shower can be days worth of normal hair loss. Its nothing to worry about just don't comb it to hard especially when its wet, that's when your hair is at its most fragile and use a comb instead of a brush.

Happens to me all the time too, I heard it's because the hot water opens your hair follicles then when you use your brush the hairs come out. Just like when you wash your face at night, you're supposed to use hot H2O to open the pores on your face to get the dirt and oil out. I think its ok though, you're supposedly losing like 100 hairs a day anyway.

Your hair is not going to fall out
as a person gets older they may lose a few strand because the hair thins out on it's own probably trying a different shampoo

Its normal for someone as old as you to be shedding alot. But if you want to help it a little, I reccommend switching to a new hairbrush and hairties (if you use any). Look for ouch-free labels. I believe conair and schunchi are very good brands. Also, try a hair mask from garnier fructis. This is an extra detangling step, and it will prevent you from having to yank knots out of your hair.

there is probably nothing to worry about...it is a known fact that everyone sheds AT LEAST 100 strands of hair or more a day...my hair does it too...and it is usually a lot more if you have really thick hair or if you have split ends...your hair is trying to grow and is pushing all the split ended (really dead hair) out...hope the helps...nothing to worry about

first do brush your hair...use your fingers to pick through it.....you should be okay...use a mild shampoo....sometimes harsh shampoos can cause hair breakage.
